These Terms govern your use of Coverstead. By using the website or submitting a request, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 and use the service only for yourself or with lawful authority to act for another adult.
2. Matching service
We use general information you provide to look for one participating licensed life-insurance professional who may fit your state, general goals, timing, and requested coverage. A professional may pay us for an introduction. A match is advertising and a potential introduction, not a recommendation, endorsement, ranking, or guarantee of suitability.
3. No insurance application or coverage
Submitting a request, receiving a response, or speaking with Coverstead is not an application and does not create, bind, or place insurance. Coverage exists only after an insurer receives and approves a completed application, all conditions are satisfied, any required premium is paid, and the insurer confirms coverage according to the policy.
4. General information only
Website content, form questions, coverage examples, and lead scores are general educational and marketing information, not individualized insurance, tax, legal, medical, investment, or financial advice. Products and requirements vary by state and insurer. Consult qualified professionals and review all policy documents before acting.
5. Independent professionals and insurers
Participating professionals and insurers are independent third parties, not our employees, agents, or partners. We do not control their licensing status, advice, product recommendations, quotes, underwriting, communications, or conduct. Any application, policy, or other agreement is solely between you and the relevant professional or insurer.
6. Products, underwriting, and availability
Products may not be available in every state. Eligibility, premiums, benefit amounts, classifications, riders, exclusions, contestability, and policy issuance depend on the insurer, complete application, underwriting, and policy terms. We do not guarantee contact, an offer, a quoted price, approval, or policy issuance.
7. Your decision and replacement caution
Verify a professional's license and review the issuing insurer, premium schedule, benefits, exclusions, limitations, guarantees, conversion rights, cash-value or surrender terms when applicable, and every policy document. Do not cancel existing coverage until replacement coverage is in force and you have reviewed the financial, tax, and coverage consequences.
8. Contact permission
When you affirmatively check the consent box and submit, you ask Coverstead and one participating licensed professional matched to your request to contact you using the method you selected about life insurance. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchasing a product or service. This request does not authorize artificial- or prerecorded-voice calls or automated marketing texts; a caller must obtain any additional consent required by law. You may revoke permission for future communications, including by replying STOP to texts when available.
9. Information you provide
You represent that your information is accurate, belongs to you, and may lawfully be used for this purpose. Do not submit another person's contact or health-related information without authority. Do not send Social Security numbers, financial accounts, passwords, medical records, or detailed health information through this form. You grant us a limited right to process and disclose the submission as described in the Privacy Policy and as needed to provide the service.
10. Acceptable use
You may not impersonate another person; submit false, abusive, or automated requests; scrape, resell, reverse engineer, overload, or interfere with the service; bypass security; introduce malicious code; or violate law or another person's rights.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coverstead will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data or profits, or damages arising from a professional's or insurer's acts, omissions, advice, underwriting, products, or contracts. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Changes, severability, and entire agreement
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and date. Changes apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains effective. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement regarding use of the website.
